Made using black and white porcelain, combined, thrown and jigger jollied. After the first firing each piece is sanded back to reveal layers of embedded mark and tone; the inside is glazed in a satin white before being fired for a second time to 1260°C. When taken from the kiln, each piece is then polished by hand to create a soft and tactile finish.
